In 2024, Temus has made significant progress in supporting digital and process transformation within Singapore’s defence sector. We began the year with a bang, kicking off our Finance Domain partnership to bring innovation & transformation in the short and long term. We are only just getting started in this space – critical first milestones with user kick-offs held for local and overseas finance users. All of us at Temus eagerly anticipate further delivery milestones for our ambitious transformation and innovation roadmap in Defence. This is not only through with our partnership with Newgen and their COTS platform but also traditional Finance Transformation (with KPMG supporting us) and aspirational innovations in AI and analytics as key drivers for scale and future-readiness. In the Digital x Process Transformation space, we are already in discussions to extend Temus’ Health expertise to Defence, and our deep passion for bringing AI & Talent together through AI-led HR consulting innovation – with an appreciation of the shared challenges and solutions that apply across the sector’s different functions.
To be relevant for Singapore Government, we need to be as good as the best in the private sector – testament then to Temus’ standing that we embarked on an ambitious Finance Transformation journey for Olam Agri leveraging the OneStream Financial Performance MAnagement platform – together with our implementation partner Amco and with Temus’ digital adoption leadership.
On a different tangent but still within Defence we have been accelerating and expanding Defence’s Project to Product Transformation journey, emphasizing a shift from project-focused approaches to a product-centric mindset. This shift has fostered collaboration across different defence entities and welcomed insights and various perspectives from different stakeholders, including experts from our own Agile practice, AI and Human-centred design teams. This growing alignment is setting the stage for future initiatives, as we continue to integrate a cross-section of capabilities with consulting to enhance our user-centred solutions.
Our AI & Design-led approach to consulting and tricky transformation journeys also featured in our enterprise architecture & data roadmap work for Tote Board (which is the parent agency of Singapore Turf Club and Singapore Pools) – featuring an AI-first approach to future roadmap with bite-sized innovation/agile sprints to deliver value quickly, extensively and scalably.
2024 ends bittersweet as our colleague Naren P Narendranath is retiring and returning to India to be with his long missed family. While we wish him well and am sure we will cross paths again, his leadership of UST Global’s Singapore office as it transitioned to Temus at Temus’ foundation in April 2021 and his 25 year tenure in UST is testament to his constant innovation and self improvement which we should all aspire to. This is espoused typically in his leadership of our Agile transformation journey in Defence and creating our Agility x Innovation practice – which is now a bedrock of our Defence pillar.
As we look toward 2025, we are focused on deepening our collaborations with our transformation partners across the tech ecosystem to support our defence personnel with practical, impactful innovations.
