The Digital X Process Transformation team has been making some remarkable developments in our work with the defence sector in recent months. Reflecting on these milestones, I’m excited about the strides we’re making and the promising paths ahead.
SAF Day, observed on July 1st, serves as a powerful reminder of the dedication and sacrifices of the Singapore Armed Forces. For us at Temus, this day is more than just a commemoration; it’s an opportunity to reflect on how we’re supporting the digital transformation of our defence agencies. Our focus has been on modernizing processes and integrating new technologies to enhance operational efficiency and strategic effectiveness.

Highlights from Agility X Innovation in Defence Week
One of the most significant recent events was the Agility X Innovation in Defence Forum. This was our inaugural event for the sector, and also marks the first for many of our defence industry peers in coming together to such a collaborative setting. The week-long event featured representations from key organizations such as FSTD, MINDEF, and DSTA. It provided an invaluable platform for discussing how agility and innovation can propel the defence sector forward with our partners Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and Planview.
We benefitted from the sharing of global perspectives and lived experiences on best practices and emerging trends in this space. The opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions makes it clear that collaboration and innovation are essential for driving progress in this field, and the connections made during the week set the stage for future initiatives.
Additionally, we are excited to share that as part of our Project-to-Product transformation for a client in the Defence segment, we have launched role-based trainings. This training, focused on SAFe for Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) roles, is designed to equip professionals with the skills needed to drive agile transformation effectively. The first session has been successfully completed, and we look forward to certifying future Product Owners. Advancing ESG in Defence
Our commitment to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles is another area where we’re making significant strides. Recently, in collaboration with KPMG, we met with MINDEF’s ESG team to explore how we can support their Singapore Green Plan 2030 commitments. These discussions with key decision makers in SAF have been instrumental in shaping our approach to ESG.
We’re actively working on Scope 3 compliance and planning, ensuring that our operations align with broader sustainability goals. The insights gained from these conversations are helping us refine our strategies and contribute meaningfully to the journey.
Continuing Partnerships in the Defence Ecosystem
Our ongoing partnerships are also a source of great optimism. Our discussions with Oracle are centered on ESG and finance transformation aiming to enhance financial management and sustainability practices. We look forward to partnering in regular Executive Roundtable around these crucial topics. Similarly, our collaboration with Onestream continues to evolve, with a shared commitment to advancing financial and operational transformation in defence.
Another exciting development is our work with Kookree, an AI startup specializing in video analytics for military intelligence. Their innovative solutions are set to impact not just defence, but also homeland security and other areas. This partnership highlights the potential of AI to drive significant advancements in various sectors.

Celebrating Our Step IT Up Transformers
Lastly, I want to acknowledge the latest batch of transformers at Temus – particularly Ying Ki and Eileen, whose new roles as digital business analysts in our defence projects have been pivotal. Their journeys in these transformative initiatives have just started and we look forward to continuing and nurturing.

Looking ahead, I’m energized by the opportunities we have to drive innovation and collaboration in the defence sector. The progress we’re making and the partnerships we’re forging are laying a strong foundation for future success, and I’m excited to see where our efforts will lead us next.
